Bury WIC

First Floor, Moorgate Primary Care Centre, 22 Derby Way, Bury, BL9 0NJ


Bury WIC will be open from: 7am to 3pm (*) seven days a week

(*) The last appointment is 30 minutes prior to closing to enable staff to appropriately and effectively assess people.

Prestwich WIC

Fairfax Road, Prestwich M25 1BT

Prestwich WIC will be open from 12pm to 8pm (*) seven days a week.

(*) The last appointment is 30 minutes prior to closing to enable staff to appropriately and effectively assess people.

Prestwich Walk In Centre

Is staffed by specially trained nurses who can deal with:

  • minor illness and injuries,
  • prescribe medication if appropriate,
  • give advice,
  • provide emergency contraception

Prestwich Walk In Centre is on Fairfax Road, adjoining Prestwich Health Centre.

They are open 12:00pm - 8.00pm (last patient will be booked in by 7.30pm).

You do not need an appointment at a attend a Walk-in Centre, just turn up.

 

Please Note:

The Walk In Centre is NOT designed for issuing routine services such as repeat prescriptions, taking bloods or blood pressure monitoring; these must be arranged through the practice where you are registered.

 

Bury Dental Access Centre

Second Floor, Moorgate Primary Care Centre, 22 Derby Way, Bury, BL9 0NJ

Emergency dental treatment for people who are unable to access a dentist during normal working hours.

Open 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.

Offers an Out of Hours Emergency Service on Weekends and Bank Holidays from 8am onwards. Call 0161 763 8941.

This is not a drop in service.  Treatment is for urgent complaints only.  Appointments are allocated on a daily basis.  For further information, contact 0161 716 2525.

 

Bury Minor Eye Conditions Service

Patients registered with a Bury GP can use this free service if suffering from a minor eye problem. Please call the optometry practice directly for an appointment. Visit http://www.gmpec.co.uk/service/Minor-Eye-Care-Conditions to find a list of local participating opticians. 

Emergency Contraception

Emergency contraception can be obtained free of charge from some local pharmacies (please call ahead to ensure that the accredited pharmacist is on duty). This service is also available at Prestwich Walk In Centre or at some sexual health clinics.
